Dehradun, 11 Jun: Students of Nanhi Dunya, who are to participate in the Brave Kids International Festival in Poland from 15 June to 9 July, called on Chief Minister TS Rawat at his official residence here, today, in the company of Chief Promoter Kiran Ulfat Goyal.
The CM extended greetings to the children and wished them well for the future. He described them as the pride of Uttarakhand. He added that by taking part in international events, they would experience cultural diversity of the world. There would also be the opportunity for inter-cultural exchanges.
Kiran Ulfat Goyal told the CM that six children from Nanhi Dunya were taking part in the Polish event – Khushi, Saniya, Anchal, Rahul, Saksham and Manish. The group leaders were Harshit and Ashu Satvika Goyal. The Festival is being organised by UNESCO and the Polish Ministry of Cultural Heritage. The purpose was to acquaint children of the world to each other’s culture. She reminded that Nanhi Dunya had been working for the past 72 years to provide education to children, women and youth.
Also present on the occasion was MLA Harbans Kapoor, Vijay Goyal, Rohit Shukla, Shashank Mishra, Suman Panwar and others.
