DEHRADUN, 2 Jan: The anthem of the 38th National Games, “Aan Baan Shaan Le, Shaurya Ka Praman Le”, could soon be available as a mobile ringtone. The National Sports Secretariat has sent a letter to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) regarding this and is now awaiting a response.
The 38th National Games are set to begin on 28 January 2025, and promotional activities are intensifying. The anthem “Aan Baan Shaan Le, Shaurya Ka Praman Le” was launched by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on 15 December 2024. Efforts are underway to promote it on various platforms, including using only a 30-second segment for promotional purposes, as the full anthem is quite long.
In municipal areas, the anthem may be played on garbage collection trucks. Efforts are being made to utilise radio and other promotional mediums. Special attention is being given to promoting the anthem in districts where the games will be held.
“We have sent a letter to BSNL for the anthem to be available as a mobile ringtone. Once we receive their response, further steps will be taken. We also plan to use all possible mediums for promoting the National Games, including garbage trucks and FM radio,” stated Amit Sinha, Special Principal Secretary of Sports/CEO, National Sports.
The lyrics of the National Sports Anthem are:
“Aan Baan Shaan Le, Shaurya Ka Praman Le
Together, the best stand on the field
No alternatives, from resolve to the peak
Let’s write the saga of victory in the sky.
In the lap of the mountains, in every lane with joy
The soil of Devbhoomi is undivided
In every moment of effort, in the hope of arrival
The host today is Uttarakhand.
This is the festival of joy
Everyone feels proud
Respect for us, for the mighty India
Let the desire for victory rise
Let the spirit of sports thrive
Victory is adorned on every forehead.
Sports is the title, unity and harmony
It symbolises the unity of our country
Respect and honour,
This is the specialty of our nation.
The roar of victory fills the air,
All are charged with energy
They roar loudly
From every corner,
No fear, no pride.
Aan Baan Shaan Le, Shaurya Ka Praman Le”
