DEHRADUN, 27 Nov: Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank inaugurated the ambitious portal ‘Abhiyanta’ of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) in Delhi. This portal will provide e- content related to new technologies of the world like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Augmented Reality, etc. This portal has been prepared by the students of Graphic Era Deemed University. Minister Pokhriyal, at the ceremony held at Shastri Bhawan, congratulated AICTE for its excellent initiative and appreciated the extraordinary contribution of students of Graphic Era Deemed University. The Union Minister termed this work by students as an excellent example of duty towards the country and society. The portal was launched at a function organised on the Constitution Day under the nationwide “Nagrik Kartavya Paalan Abhiyan” campaign. Prof Anil Sahasarbudhe, Chairman, AICTE, said that this portal had been developed free of cost by the students of Graphic Era Deemed University under an internship project of AICTE in a record time and would be of immense use in making authentic and quality learning resources in emerging areas, such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Augmented Reality, etc., available to the student community free of cost. This portal has been prepared by students Shivanshu Gupta, Rishit Agarwal, Anant Jakhmola,, Ritik Agarwal, Kartikeya Sawhney, Sakshi Goyal, Nav Jindal, Akash Pandey and Prachi Pundir of BTech (Vth Semester) of Graphic Era Deemed University. Minister of State for HRD Sanjay Dhotre, Secretary, Higher Education, R Subrahmanyam, Secretary, UGC, Rajnish Jain and Director, IISER Kolkata, Sourav Pal and senior officials of the ministry were also present on the occasion.
