No appeals received against Electoral Roll

Dehradun, 21 Apr: No appeal has been received regarding claims or objections to the final electoral roll published in Uttarakhand based on the eligibility date of 1 January, 2025.

As per the provisions laid down by the Election Commission, any affected person may file a first appeal regarding claims and objections with the District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/Executive Magistrate or District Collector of the district concerned. A second appeal may be filed with the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer.

According to the information received from all districts, no appeals have been received in any district of the state regarding claims or objections to the electoral roll.

Chief Electoral Officer Dr BVRC Purushottam has stated that, as per the guidelines received from the Commission, meetings have already been held with all political parties in the state. Additionally, political parties have been requested to appoint booth-level agents.

Any citizen who attains the age of 18 years on 1 January, 1 April, 1 July, or 1 October can apply for inclusion in the electoral roll by filling Form 6.
Form 7 can be used to object to the inclusion of a name or request the deletion of one’s own or someone else’s name from the electoral roll.
Form 8 can be used to correct existing entries or to apply for change of residence within the electoral roll.

Forms 6, 7, and 8 are available with the BLOs, ERO offices, and District Election Offices. Online applications can be submitted through www.voters.eci.gov.in or the Voter Helpline app.
