Dehradun, 1 Oct: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has expanded its probe into the case against accused Khalid, who is under investigation for cheating in competitive exams.
The SIT recently conducted a search of his house in Dehradun after obtaining a search warrant. No books or study material related to exam preparation were found during the search. According to the investigation, Khalid applied for nine competitive exams between 2023 and 2025.
Out of these, he did not appear for five exams, and in the remaining exams where he appeared, he scored very low marks. Some of the exams he applied for were for positions for which he did not meet the required educational qualifications.
The SIT is now investigating the motive behind Khalid applying for these exams despite not being eligible or prepared. Officials said the inquiry is being conducted in depth to determine whether there was a deliberate attempt to cheat or mislead authorities.
The investigation continues as the SIT collects more evidence and information about Khalid’s activities in the competitive exams.
