NSS Unit of Uttaranchal University holds ‘Clean India’ event



DEHRADUN, 3 Oct: The NSS Wing of UIT organised a Clean India campaign event on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The main purpose was to spread awareness among the students regarding cleanliness and its benefits. All the students along with the teaching faculty participated. The event was led by Dr VK Srivastava (NSS Coordinator- Uttaranchal University) and Arvind Singh Rawat (NSS Coordinator- UIT) along with faculty members Himanshu Goel, Manoj, Sudhir Jugran with NSS UIT members and other students. The campaign began with cleaning the college premises from UIT to the college ground. Students from all the branches actively participated in this event with full enthusiasm. Along with the “Clean India” campaign, it also promoted the “Fit India” Campaign by organising a race from the college ground to the mechanical department. NSS UIT intends to organise more events like this in the future to promote awareness about cleanliness and fitness.
