Dehradun, 4 Mar: The ‘Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan’ is a campaign run by various affiliated organisations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), led by the Swadeshi Jagran Manch. The objective of this initiative is to connect the youth of the country with self-reliance, entrepreneurship and self-employment while fostering a sense of Swadeshi (local production) and Swavalamban (self-reliance) in society.
Minister Satpal Maharaj highlighted these points during his address as the Chief Guest at the Swadeshi Mahotsav 2025, Entrepreneurship Promotion Award & Closing Ceremony held at Hindu National Inter College, here, on Tuesday.
Maharaj stated that, while the exhibition showcased government development initiatives, it also prominently promoted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Vocal for Local” vision. He emphasised that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s government is also focusing on promoting Swadeshi by encouraging local products.
He further praised Smriti Vikas Sansthan for providing a valuable platform for small entrepreneurs in the state to promote their businesses through the Swadeshi exhibition. The event also honoured local artists and organised various seminars aimed at empowering the youth and women of the state to become self-reliant and independent.
