Olympus High students win Gold Medals in Chess Competition

Dehradun, 2 Sep: The students of Olympus High, Anant Gupta of Class 5 and Shubham Maheshwari of Class 10, secured gold medals in the Open Chess Competition organised by Chess Knight Academy at Etlantis Club.
Anant Gupta competed in the Under-11 category, scoring 3.5 out of 6 points, while Shubham Maheshwari participated in the Under-15 category, achieving a score of 4 out of 6 points. The tournament featured a total of 41 participants.
Dr Anuradha Malla, Principal of Olympus High, expressed her pride in the students’ accomplishments, stating, “We are immensely proud of Anant and Shubham for their outstanding performance in the Open Chess Competition. Their success is a testament to their hard work, determination, and the holistic education we aim to provide at Olympus High. They have not only brought laurels to our school but have also set an inspiring example for their peers. We encourage all our students to pursue their passions with the same zeal and commitment.”
