Olympus High wins ‘Shakespeare Slam’

DEHRADUN, 3 Dec: Olympus High School participated in an Inter School competition, ‘Shakespeare Slam’ held, here, today. The slam was organised by Helen O’Grady. The competition was intended to make the students self-reliant, so the directing, casting, lights, sound and properties were all done by the students themselves. The directors of the play were Angkit Dutta Roy and Maliha Malla. They were assisted by teachers Nikhil Rawat and Nupur Rajput. Olympus High presented a play full of tragedy, suspense and drama – ‘Macbeth’, one of the most renowned and loved plays of Shakespeare. Olympus High won the Overall Trophy and Angkit Dutta Roy was adjudged the Best Actor. The centre of attraction of the play was the role played by the three witches – Suhani Sareen, Milan Dubey, and Tushita Kulshreshtha, who created a phenomenal atmosphere. The event was a great experience for all the Olympians.
