Dehradun, 20 Jul: In order to generate awareness about the new Pension Disbursement System, a team of officers from PCDA (Pune) led by Abhishek Kumar, IDAS, Dy CDA, conducted a lecture for the veterans and dealing staff of various stations under Uttarakhand Sub Area at the Doon Sainik Institute on 19 July.
The lecture was conducted in the form of a Webinar wherein 16 stations had also joined via the weblink. The event was presided over by Maj Gen Sanjeev Khatri, GOC, Uttarakhand Sub Area.
The team of officers after the lecture and demonstration on SPARSH also took on queries from the veterans and addressed their concerns on the new system, and also facilitated redressal of grievances on site to generate confidence in the new system.
Issues of legacy pensioners were also clarified and noted by the officers of PCDA (Pune). Addressing the gathering, Abhishek Kumar assured the Veterans and Service Personnel that the New Pension Disbursement System is designed to empower the pensioners by having direct access and control on their pension account, reduce delays in pension related issues, bring transparency and increase one to one communication between the pensioners and pension disbursement agency for faster resolution of anomalies.
Approximately 1100 Veterans, Widows and Serving Personal attended the event across 14 Stations of Uttarakhand and three stations of Uttar Pradesh.
