Haridwar, 28 Sep: The Parliamentary Estimates Committee visited BHEL Haridwar on Sunday as part of its study tour. Led by the Committee Chairman, Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, the Lok Sabha MPs observed the manufacturing processes, technical capabilities and various production areas of BHEL Haridwar.
On this occasion, the Chairman and Managing Director of the company, K Sadashiv Murthy and the Executive Director of BHEL Haridwar unit, Ranjan Kumar, extended a traditional welcome to all the MPs.
In their remarks during the division tour, Dr Sanjay Jaiswal and other committee members praised BHEL Haridwar’s technical expertise and the contributions of its engineers and employees. The committee members also commended BHEL’s efforts to adopt cutting-edge technologies, promote research and development, and continuously upgrade its products and technical capabilities to meet changing national needs.
On this occasion, K Sadashiva Murthy briefed the committee members on BHEL’s current operations, technological capabilities, and the company’s contribution to meeting the country’s energy and industrial needs. He also apprised the committee of various initiatives being undertaken by BHEL to develop indigenous technology and strengthen advanced manufacturing capabilities. Ranjan Kumar stated that the Haridwar unit, in addition to manufacturing equipment required for the energy sector , is also expanding its technological capabilities in the defence and aerospace sectors.
During the division visit, the Committee directly observed BHEL Haridwar’s various manufacturing processes, modern technologies, and product manufacturing activities. Senior BHEL officials provided the Committee members with detailed information regarding the plant’s operations, production capacity, major products, technological achievements, and future plans.
BHEL Haridwar’s General Managers , senior officials, and employees were present on the occasion.
