Passport Office to open soon in Kotdwar: Anil Baluni

Dehradun, 21 Mar: Pauri MP Anil Baluni has stated that a passport office will soon be established in Kotdwar in Pauri district. In a tweet posted today, Baluni added that the people of Garhwal will soon have access to a passport office in Kotdwar and that this will eliminate the need for the residents of Pauri district to travel to Dehradun for passport-related services.

Sharing this development on his X Account, Baluni stated that External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has approved the opening of the passport office in Kotdwar following his (Baluni’s) request.

Baluni expressed gratitude towards the Foreign Minister for addressing the concerns of the citizens of Garhwal Lok Sabha constituency, particularly the youth. He asserted that the new passport office would save time and money for those seeking passports for education and employment opportunities abroad. Baluni also mentioned that the process of setting up another passport office in Gopeshwar, Chamoli district, is also underway.

In his post, Baluni emphasised that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, services once reserved for the elite are now being made accessible to the common people. He described the initiative as a significant step towards a developed India.
