Uttarkashi, 13 Apr: Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Haridwar Lok Sabha MP Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishank“, today addressed several rallies in the state including one in Barkot in district Uttarkashi.
While addressing the election rally in Barkot, he described Barkot as his karmabhoomi. On reaching here this morning, the party workers accorded a grand welcome to him. Here he had come to seek support for BJP candidate from Tehri, Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah.
Addressing the public in the public meetings, Nishank said that the people of Uttarakhand have full faith in the guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and they are going to fulfill the Prime Minister’s resolution of crossing 400 seats in these elections and the people of Uttarakhand will also contribute by ensuring BJP’s win on all the 5 seats from the state.
Nishank reminded that Barkot has been his birthplace and that he has received great blessings from the Barkot area. He expressed hope that he will continue to receive the love from the people here. Enumerating the achievements of the Centre, Dr Nishank said that it is for the first time that a government has shown serious concern about the poor. PM Modi is concerned about every poor person and to keep the country safe during the Corona period, he had vaccinated at least 140 crore countrymen for free during the Covid pandemic and is still giving free ration to crores of poor people even today. Those who did not have accommodation were given accommodation, free toilets, free gas connections and free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakhs in case of illness.
Former Chief Minister Nishank added that it has become possible only after the appointment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that after 500 years and after the sacrifice of many people, Ram Temple has been built today in Ayodhya. He reminded that the Opposition leaders used to scare and mislead people regarding Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, but When Prime Minister Narendra Modi abrogated Article 370, people were benefited and now are living peacefully in Jammu and Kashmir.
On this occasion, National General Secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha Deepti Rawat, Tehri Lok Sabha election in-charge and Minister of State Vinay Kumar Rohilla, District President Satendra Rana, BJP state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan, former MLA Kedar Singh Rawat also addressed the gathering.
