Dehradun, 15 Dec: The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), Uttarakhand Chapter, today formally announced the induction of Vineet Kumar Gupta as the new Chairman of the PHDCCI Uttarakhand State Chapter during a press conference held at Hotel Hyatt Centric, Dehradun. Addressing the media for the first time in his new role, Gupta also unveiled the Uttarakhand International Trade Expo (UKITEX 2025).
The press conference was attended by Amit Khaneja, Co-Chairman, PHDCCI, Uttarakhand, Ritesh Singh, Resident Director, PHDCCI Uttarakhand Chapter, and Hardeep Singh, Consultant trade fair PHDCCI, along with members of the media.
UKITEX 2025 is scheduled to be organised from 19 to 23 December 2025 at the Parade Ground, Dehradun, with active support from various Government departments, MSMEs, industry partners, and regional stakeholders.
The Expo is being organised with the active support and participation of leading institutions and industry partners, including State Bank of India (SBI), Punjab National Bank (PNB), BNI, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), National Jute Board, Uttarakhand Bamboo & Fiber Development Board, Peachwood and Garvi Gurjari.
The event is also supported by prominent corporate and institutional partners such as GB Group, Patanjali, Swami Rama Himalayan University( SRHU), DD – The Down Town, Goldi Group, Everest Masala, and Roasa Herbal Care, whose involvement is expected to significantly enhance the scale, outreach, and impact of UKITEX 2025.
Addressing the media, Vineet Kumar Gupta stated that shifting the venue to Parade Ground marks a significant enhancement in the scale, accessibility, and visibility of the expo. As Dehradun’s most centrally located public venue, it is expected to ensure maximum footfall, wider outreach, and increased participation from industry, buyers, entrepreneurs, and the general public.
Highlighting his vision as the newly inducted Chairman, Gupta emphasised that UKITEX 2025 is envisioned as a landmark platform to showcase Uttarakhand’s economic strength and growth potential. The key objectives of the expo include:
Connecting Uttarakhand’s MSMEs with the economic mainstream;
Promoting ODOP products and strengthening local enterprises;
Linking state industries with national and global markets;
Positioning Uttarakhand as an attractive investment destination;
Encouraging rural livelihoods, tourism, and the startup ecosystem.
He further added that the expo will showcase Uttarakhand’s strengths across sectors such as agriculture, tourism, MSMEs, AYUSH, wellness, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and manufacturing, while also fostering meaningful B2B, B2G, and B2C engagements.
Speaking on the occasion, Amit Khanaja, Co-Chairman, PHDCCI Uttarakhand, noted that UKITEX 2025 would serve as a catalyst for business expansion, collaborations, and market access for local entrepreneurs and artisans, while strengthening Uttarakhand’s presence in national and international trade networks.
Ritesh Singh, Resident Director, PHDCCI Uttarakhand Chapter, reiterated the Chamber’s commitment to working closely with Government bodies, banks, sponsors, industry partners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful organization of UKITEX 2025 and to create sustainable opportunities for MSMEs and startups across the state.
