Dehradun, 19 Jul: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has become the first bank to extend Central Government-level Salary Package benefits to permanent employees of the Government of Uttarakhand through an addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) executed in 2025 for the operation of salary accounts of regular State Government employees.
The MoU addendum was exchanged between Amita Joshi, Director, Treasury, Pension & Entitlement, Government of Uttarakhand, and Anupam, Zonal Manager, Punjab National Bank, Dehradun Zone, in the presence of Abhinandan Singh, Circle Head, Dehradun, Chaturbhuj Barik, Assistant General Manager, CAC Dehradun, and other senior officials of the Government of Uttarakhand and Punjab National Bank.
Under the enhanced Salary Package, eligible employees will be entitled to a comprehensive suite of exclusive benefits, including Personal Accident Insurance cover up to Rs 1.50 crore, Air Accident Insurance cover up to Rs 3 crore, Term Life Insurance cover up to Rs 12 lakh, complimentary annual health check-up, unlimited tele-consultation services, overdraft facility, concession on locker rent, premium debit and credit cards, concessional Home, Vehicle, Education and Personal Loans, free IMPS, RTGS and NEFT transactions, complimentary Demat account opening, and exclusive banking facilities for employees and their dependent family members.
By becoming the first bank to extend Central Government-level Salary Package benefits to Uttarakhand Government employees, PNB has set a new benchmark in salary banking. The initiative underscores the Bank’s commitment to delivering superior financial protection, value-added banking services, and an enhanced customer experience, while further strengthening its longstanding partnership with the Government of Uttarakhand and reaffirming its leadership in the Government business segment.
