Pantnagar, 24 Aug: Professor Jyoti Palod from the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, has been honored with the prestigious CLFMA Award for her outstanding contributions in the field of livestock sciences.
This honour was conferred during the inaugural session of the 66th National Symposium of CLFMA of India, held at Hotel Taj Deccan, Hyderabad, on 22 August.
The award was presented by Prof SP Singh Baghel, Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying and Minister of State in the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, along with Vakti Srihari, Minister of Animal Husbandry & Fisheries, Government of Telangana.
On this occasion, Divya Kumar Gulati, President of CLFMA, along with Secretaries of Animal Husbandry from the Government of India and the State of Telangana, and other distinguished dignitaries were also present.
The award, instituted by CLFMA, is considered highly prestigious in the livestock and poultry sector and is presented to scientists who have made remarkable contributions in these fields. This year, the CLFMA Committee selected Professor Dr Jyoti Palod in recognition of her outstanding research, extension and academic work in livestock and poultry sciences.
Members of the CLFMA organisation, the university fraternity and scientists and Vice Chancellor of the University Dr Manmohan Singh Chauhan congratulated Prof Jyoti Palod for this achievement.
