DEHRADUN, 15 Nov: Quantum University held its Fifth Convocation on Saturday, celebrating the academic milestones of its graduating students. Governor of Uttarakhand and Visitor to the University, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh presided over the ceremony and awarded degrees and medals to the fresh graduates. Uttarakhand Education Minister Dhan Singh shared his wishes for the students as they step into the next phase of their lives.
The event welcomed Special Guest Ajit Kumar Karnataka, former Vice Chancellor of MPUAT, Udaipur, and former president of the Indian Agricultural Universities Association. His presence added a strong academic touch to the gathering.

The ceremony opened with a tribute to the martyrs of Uttarakhand. This was followed by the academic procession, the national anthem, Saraswati Vandana and the University Kulgeet. Vice Chancellor Vivek Kumar presented the annual report, outlining the university’s recent progress in academics, research and overall institutional growth.
Degrees were awarded across undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, advanced diploma and doctoral programs. Many students received their degrees in person, and research scholars were honored for their work in fields such as Management, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication and Applied Medical Sciences. The distribution reflected the university’s focus on rigorous academics, research oriented learning and holistic development.
One of the most heartfelt moments of the ceremony was the presentation of the President’s Medal to Sakshi Raj from B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture. She was recognized for her all round excellence in academics, sports, cultural activities, research contributions and community work. Her parents were invited on stage and the warm applause that followed made it one of the most memorable scenes of the day.
Public representatives, including Bhagwanpur MLA Mamta Rakesh and Roorkee MLA Pradeep Batra, congratulated the graduating class. Senior leadership members including Founder-president Shyam Sundar Goyal, president Ajay Goyal and members of the Board of Governors were present along with several distinguished personalities from the university’s management and academic team.
Top performers from various programs were honored with gold, silver and bronze medals. Student led cultural performances added color to the celebration and highlighted the creative side of campus life.
Academicians, industry professionals, school leaders, media representatives and officials from the police and civil administration joined the event, reflecting the university’s strong ties with the community.
The ceremony ended with the distribution of degrees, transcripts and certificates. Graduates left the venue with a sense of pride, and their families shared the joy of the milestone. The day closed on an inspiring note for everyone connected to Quantum University.
