RIMC, Kasiga score wins in 5th Batta Memorial Cricket Tournament

Dehradun, 18 Apr: The first match, today, in the 5th All India PC Batta Memorial Cricket Tournament 2023, was played between The Tulas International School and RIMC. TIS won the toss and decided to bat first, scoring a total of 112/10 in 18.4 overs. The top scorer for them was Happy, who hit 40 off 32 deliveries with 6 boundaries. Batting second, RIMC achieved the target in 18.2 overs with 4 wickets to spare. Gurkeerat of RIMC was declared the Player of the Match as he scored 36 off 28 deliveries with the bat and took 3 wickets for 28 runs in his 4 overs.

The second match was played between the hosts Kasiga School and Wynberg-Allen School. The toss went Kasiga’s way, which elected to bat first and scored a mammoth 209/5 in 20 overs with Nishchit Bhatia 79 (41), Bipin Nandan 51 (22) and Vikram 40(27) shining in the batting line up. Wynberg in response could manage only 146/8 in their allotted 20 overs with Kartikey Nautiyal scoring the most, 38 runs, for his team. The Player of the Match award went to Nishchit Bhatia of Kasiga School for scoring 79 runs and taking two wickets.
