Dehradun, 5 Aug: Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital (SGRR) has taken a significant initiative by opening a Health Sub Centre in the premises of Shri Guru Ram Rai Inter College, Bhauwala Campus. Prior to this, the Health Sub Centres of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital are being run at Mothrowala and Khurbura. At this centre, the facilities of Physician, Obs. & Gyn. Specialist, medicines, blood collection centre, ECG, Blood Pressure and Blood Pressure Test facilities will be available. Soon, the facility of X-ray will also be available as an X-ray machine will be installed.
On Monday, the Rural Health Centre of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital (SGRR) was inaugurated at Shri Guru Ram Rai Inter College jointly by the local MLA & Chief Guest of the programme, Sahdev Singh Pundir, Guest of Honour, District Panchayat Member Ramesh Chand, Guest of Honour ex-Principal of SGRR Inter College, Bhauwala, Pradeep Dabral and Medical Superintendent of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital Dr Vinay Rai.
A cultural programme was initiated with Saraswati Vandana by the girl students of SGRR Inter College. The students of Class XI presented a role on the negative impacts on people of intoxications. A plantation drive was also conducted at the Health Sub Centre’s doctors and school students.
While addressing the gathering, Dr Vinay Rai said the vision of Mahant Devendra Dass was to make quality health care reach the rural people of far-flung rural areas. The opening of the Rural Health Centre was another milestone in this direction. The management of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital had been receiving repeated requests from Bhauwala to open a Health Sub Centre of the hospital. He said that treatment, tests and medicines would be available at this Rural Health Centre at discounted rates.
Sahaspur MLA Sahdev Singh Pundir said this Rural Health Centre would provide relief and hope to the local rural people. He appreciated the way Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission and Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital were delivering quality education and healthcare at affordable rates in the state of Uttarakhand.
Pradeep Dabral said that a door of this Centre also opened into Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences whose doctors would render complete service to the people.
District Panchayat Member Ramesh Chand, Area Panchayat Member Yashpal Negi, and Village Pradhan, Bhauwala, Praveen Chauhan requested that the Health Centre be kept open 24 hours a day. Dr Vinay Rai said that, soon, a positive decision on this request would be taken.
Also present were Mahant Hospital HR Head Vijay Nautiyal, Deputy Nursing Superintendent Kamaljeet Kaur, Senior Public Relations Officer Bhupendra Raturi, Public Relations Officer Pramod Singh Chauhan, teachers, staff members, students of Shri Guru Ram Rai Inter College, Bhauwala, local dignitaries and the local people.
