Dehradun, 27 Nov: St Thomas College Principal and ex-MLA, RV Gardner was presented the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the Dehradun Private School’s Association, Uttarakhand, at a ceremony held at a local hotel.

The award recognises his decades of dedicated service, visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to shaping academic excellence.

Speaking about the event, the President of the Association, Dr Anuj S Singh, highlighted Gardner’s transformative impact on educational standards, students’ development and institutional growth. His work has inspired countless educators and students, leaving a lasting legacy in the academic community.

Gardner expressed gratitude upon receiving lifetime achievement award, acknowledging the support of colleagues, students and institutions throughout his career. He emphasised the importance of integrity and compassion in education.

The history of the association, which felicitated RV Gardner is no less interesting. It was founded in the year 1984 by none other than RV Gardner. In that year there were only 12 schools associated with the association and then was known as Dehradun Council Schools’ Principal Association, which was later changed to Dehradun Private Schools’ Association, Uttarakhand, with now more than 65 prestigious schools as members.

The felicitation ceremony concluded with a standing ovation to RV Gardner, celebrating a distinguished career that continues to influence and uplift the world of learning.
