SBS University distributes Uniforms to adopted Schools

Dehradun, 19 May: Sardar Bhagwan Singh University (SBSU), Dehradun, through its Rotaract Club, organised a uniform distribution programme for students of its adopted schools—Rajkiya Prathmik Vidhyalaya, Balawala-I, and Rajkiya Prathmik Vidhyalaya, Balawala-III. A total of 137 students received new school uniforms as part of this community outreach initiative.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr Gauravdeep Singh, President of the University; Prof J Kumar, Vice Chancellor; and Lt Col RP Jugran (Retd), Deputy Registrar (Administration).

In his message, Dr Gauravdeep Singh emphasised the University’s enduring commitment to social responsibility, stating, “Sardar Bhagwan Singh University strongly believes that knowledge, competence, and resources should be utilised for the welfare and upliftment of society. This uniform distribution drive is a symbolic act that reflects our voluntary commitment toward community welfare.”

The successful execution of the programme was supported by enthusiastic participation from members of the University’s Rotaract Club and the NCC Cadets. The drive concluded with the distribution of refreshments to the schoolchildren, adding a cheerful close to the day’s proceedings.

This initiative underscores SBSU’s ongoing efforts to foster inclusive development and strengthen its engagement with the local community.
