Dehradun, 26 Nov: On the occasion of the Foundation Day of Bharat Scouts and Guides, a delegation of the Bharat Scouts and Guides met Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) at the Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday. The delegation informed the Governor about their progress and future plans, and presented him with a scarf and sticker.
On this occasion, the Governor extended his best wishes to the Scout team on their Foundation Day and said that the moral and voluntary principles of Scouts and Guides are greatly needed by the country and society in the present time. Therefore, these values should be taken to every household, and the number of Scouts should also be increased. The Governor said that, in the direction of building a developed India, the nation has to progress rapidly in every field, and the role of Scouts and Guides will also remain important in this journey.
Present on the occasion were State Commissioner of Scouts and Guides Himanshu Saxena, Assistant Commissioner Alka Mishra, District Secretary Ankur Kumar, and other officials of the organisation.
