DEHRADUN, 17 Jan: School Educational & Administrative Systems (SEAS) announced the Global Women Achievers Award Ceremony to be held on 19 January, at a press conference held here today.
The awards will be presented to women achievers from all over the country.
Informing the media about the Global Women Achievers Award, the Director, SEAS, Reena Tyagi said, “This award ceremony is a platform to honour women who have fought, struggled and dealt with hurdles. A few of our awardees are women who have suffered and yet achieved. SEAS wishes to acknowledge and celebrate womanhood.”
The awards will be presented by Regional Officer, CBSE, Dehradun Region, Ranbir Singh, and Chairperson, State Women Commission, Uttarakhand, Vijaya Barthwal.
The award ceremony will witness a welcome dance performance by Bharatnatyam exponent Veena Aggarwal. There will also be two panel discussions on Gender Inequality & Challenges in personal and professional lives of women. A small workshop on ‘Lock Stock and Hot Pot’ will also be held by Aarti Aruldas. There will also be a group song presentation by the students of Aasra Trust.
The ceremony will witness awardees from across the country including cities like Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Dehradun, Gujarat, Ranchi, Punjab, Gurgaon, New Delhi, Saharanpur, Meerut, Jaipur and Assam.
Veena Aggarwal added, “I am really glad to be a part of this award ceremony. Such events create a benchmark for all women working hard to achieve their goals in life.”
Aman Vohra added, “The ceremony underscores the paramount role played by women in society, while appreciating their attitudes, initiatives, will-power, and perseverance. These are women who have distinguished themselves as prominent achievers.”
Some of the prominent women who will be felicitated on the occasion include Mahabanoo Mody Kotwal, Jayashree Shanker Todkar, Shachi Maheshwari, Veena Aggarwal, Aarti Aruldas, Shahnaz Ahmed, Shweta Dubey and Archana Gaaba among several others.
The awards will be given in various categories including Life Time Achievement – Theatre, The Social Survivor, The Lady with a Golden Heart, The Brave Heart, A Noble Star, Mentor of the Year and An Educator with a Difference, among several others.
