Secretary level officers nominated as districts in- charge by Govt

Radhika Jha to be Officer in-charge of Dehradun district

Dehradun, 15 Jun: To better solve the problems of local residents in all the districts of Uttarakhand, the Dhami government has appointed 13 secretary level officers of the state as officers in-charge of different districts. This step has ostensibly taken to ensure better coordination with district officials and to ensure continuous progress in development works. Secretary Radhika Jha has been made district in charge of Dehradun.

The Government has claimed that with this decision, the voice of the public will reach the government more easily. Along with this, development works will also get fresh and continuous momentum. The government believes that these officers will do better work by coordinating with the district level officers. Along with this, these officers have also been asked to review their respective districts from time to time. While Chief Minister Dhami will review the district with the in-charge officers concerned.

It may be recalled that Chief Minister Dhami has already indicated to the officers that they do not have to work only while staying in the secretariat. While even after going out, the arrangements and the problems of the people have to be seen as well as every work that is in the interest of the state. In this sequence, the state government had also nominated secretary level officers as in-charge of one temple each to ensure better arrangements and regulation of the Char Dham Yatra.

The secretary level officers who have been given the responsibility of districts are Dipendra Kumar Chaudhary for Chamoli, Chandresh Kumar Yadav for Champawat, V Shanmugam for Uttarkashi, Brijesh Kumar Sant for Haridwar, L Fanai for Nainital, Dr R Rajesh Kumar for Rudraprayag, Radhika Jha for Dehradun, Dilip Jawalkar for Pauri Garhwal, Dr BVRC Purushottam for Udham Singh Nagar, Dr Pankaj Kumar Pandey for Almora, Vinod Kumar Suman for Bageshwar, Sachin Kurve for Tehri Garhwal and Dr Ranjit Kumar Sinha for Pithoragarh.
