Dehradun, 17 March: Senior PCS officer, Harak Singh Rawat, posted as Additional Secretary in the Secretariat of the State Government, lost a long fought battle at the age of 51 years on Sunday morning. He was suffering from cancer for the past many years. During his postings as SDM he was instrumental in implementing solid waste management activities at household level, his initiative of getting Dronagiri track of year & Timmersain yatra was acknowledged by government & locals at large. His untimely death is a great loss for Uttarakhand.
He was a very hard working officer always concerned about the welfare of society, his biggest concern was how to get cities of Uttarakhand clean, said Udit Ghildyal, Director, HIFEED.
