Dehradun, 3 Jan: The Vice Chairman of the SETU Commission, Raj Shekhar Joshi, paid a courtesy call on the Governor, Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) at Raj Bhavan here, today, and extended New Year greetings. During this meeting, Joshi briefed the Governor on the ongoing activities of the SETU Commission. He apprised the Governor about the priorities, new schemes, and progress of projects undertaken by the Commission for the development of the state.
The Governor emphasised the important role of the Commission in the overall development of Uttarakhand. He urged the Commission to focus on preparing plans while considering the unique challenges of the Himalayan region. The Governor also offered suggestions for the effective implementation of plans tailored to the needs of the state.
During the meeting, there was a discussion on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for transparent governance. The Governor stated that the impact of AI has led to unprecedented progress across various sectors in this era of technology. He further mentioned that it is a collective duty to use AI to address complex challenges and create transparent systems for the benefit of the public. The Governor wished Joshi success in the implementation of the Commission’s upcoming plans.
