Dehradun, 14 May: The Election Commission of India has announced the third phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign for 19 states, including Uttarakhand, is to be conducted on the basis of the qualifying date of 1 July 2026.

Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr BVRC Purushottam today informed media that, as per the Commission’s directions, the printing of enumeration forms and training of staff will be carried out between 29 May and 7 June 2026. From 8 June to 7 July 2026, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will undertake door-to-door surveys for distribution and collection of enumeration forms. The draft roll will be published on 14 July 2026, following which claims and objections can be filed between 14 July and 13 August 2026. Purushottam added that the notices will be issued and disposal of claims and objections will take place from 10 July to 11 September 2026. The final publication of the electoral roll is scheduled for 15 September 2026.

The CEO further stated that Uttarakhand currently has 11,733 polling booths, and political parties have already deployed 21,808 Booth Level Agents (BLAs) across the state. This exercise is expected to strengthen the accuracy of the voter list and ensure wider participation in the democratic process.
