DEHRADUN, 30 Aug: The Uttarakhand Other Backward Classes Commission (OBC Commission), under the chairmanship of Sanjay Negi, conducted a comprehensive hearing on Friday as many as 10 cases brought forward by complainants from various districts across the state.
The Commission heard petitions from Saroj Kumar, Mustaq Alam, Rohit Shakya and Vasudev Kushwaha from Dehradun; Maya Devi from Haridwar; and Mukesh Kumar, Satbir Singh, Kulbir Singh, Khushbu and Hetram from Udham Singh Nagar.
Chairman Negi first listened to the grievances of the complainants. In the case filed by Saroj Kumar of Dehradun regarding the return of his belongings, a Sub-Inspector represented the Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun. The Chairman directed the representative to ensure the immediate return of the complainant’s belongings from the defendant and to report back to the Commission within a fortnight regarding the action taken.

Satbir Singh of Udham Singh Nagar was provided with a copy of the report submitted by the department and was asked to submit any objections to the report by the SSP Udham Singh Nagar, in writing to the Commission.
For Mustaq Alam’s case regarding GPF benefits, representatives from the Accountant General, Uttarakhand, the Managing Director of Uttarakhand Jal Nigam, and the Engineer-in-Chief of Uttarakhand Public Works Department, all from Dehradun, were directed to be present. The Chairman instructed these officials to resolve the matter expeditiously.
In Hetram’s case involving alleged land fraud, the Tehsildar of Kashipur was ordered to resolve the matter immediately. Similarly, in Rohit Shakya’s case concerning pending payments and security, a Sub-Inspector represented the Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun, and was directed to ensure the complainant’s money was returned without delay.
