Wildlife Institute gets new Director

DEHRADUN, 30 Aug: Dr Govind Sagar Bharadwaj, a forest officer belonging to the Rajasthan cadre, has been appointed Director of the Wildlife Institute of India here. Bharadwaj joined the Indian Forest Service in 1994 and has served in different protected areas, including Ranthambore, Sariska and the Desert National Park, where he left lasting footprints. Known for his decades of service in wildlife and forest management Bharadwaj brings a wealth of experience and vision to his prestigious role.
Upendra Arora of Natraj Publishers today met Dr Bharadwaj and congratulated him on his assumption of office and wished him every conceivable success in his new assignment. Bharadwaj takes over the reins at a time when the Institute faces the challenging task of scientifically conserving India’s natural heritage and also maintaining the pace of rapid economic development.
