‘Stories Through Her Lens’ celebrates Women Photographers on International Women’s Day

DEHRADUN, 7 Mar: The fifth chapter of “Stories Through Her Lens”, a photography exhibition showcasing the work of women photographers, was launched on the occasion of International Women’s Day, on Saturday. This will continue till 30th March 2026. The exhibition presents a diverse collection of photographs capturing wildlife, birds, nature, architecture, portraits, and candid moments through the unique perspectives of women behind the lens. The exhibition is in display at Muse Art Gallery at Inderlok hotel with special support of Mohit Dang. He informed that the venue is open for photographers and artists to display their works through out the year.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Neena Grewal, IFS, Managing Director, Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation, who appreciated the remarkable work of the participating photographers. An avid wildlife photographer herself, two of her photographs were also displayed in the exhibition. She formally opened the exhibition and shared inspiring words: “This Women’s Day, we give to get—giving our knowledge, talent, and stories while gaining from each other’s visions.” She commended the photographers for their creativity and sensitivity in portraying nature and wildlife and shared that she thoroughly enjoyed viewing the exhibition and interacting with the artists.
The exhibition has been curated and organised for the past five years by noted photographer Bhumesh Bharti, founder of *Coloured Leaf Photography group*, with the aim of providing a meaningful platform for women photographers to showcase their work and share their visual narratives.
The exhibition features photographs by the following participants:
Rekha Giri, Amita Ahuja, Urvashi, Surabhi Sapra, Jyotarpan Kaur, Megha Saxena Kathuria, Chinar Sharma, Aditi Khurana, Meghna Uniyal, Mukta Joshi, Ritika M, Manju Kala, Ranjana Bartwal, Aditi Dubey, Sarabh Gandhi, Deepanjali Singh, Adya Bhargava, Dr Manisha Bajpai, Saloni Thakur, Shweta Dhyani, Anjali Bist, Samita Gupta, Somani Roy, Sona Kukreti, Archana Ghildiyal, Varsha Pathania, and Venu Agrahari Dhingra.
The exhibition celebrates the creativity, vision, and storytelling ability of women photographers and is widely appreciated by visitors and photography enthusiasts alike.
