DEHRADUN, 28 Jan: Additional Chief Secretary, Personnel and Vigilance, Radha Raturi, in a letter to Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Commissioners and District Magistrates, has clarified that the proposed strike by the state government employees is banned under the state government employees’ conduct manual. She said that various employee organisations resort to strikes, which result in hardships to the common people and delay in the implementation of state government programmes.
Raturi clarified that the departmental letter, dated 13 December, 2018, in which the orders of the High Court passed in Public Interest Litigation number 115/2018 2018 and the orders dated 29 August, 2018, should be implemented. She also referred to the government orders passed from time to time in this regard and called for strict implementation of such orders.
The Additional Chief Secretary directed that in the light of the letter dated 23 January, 2019, by Uttarakhand Adhikari-Karamchari/Shikshak Samanvay Samiti regarding proposed agitation on 31 January and 4 February, no leaves should be sanctioned and the rules regarding leave should be enforced strictly.
