DEHRADUN, 29 Jan: Fifty students of BSc Agriculture, VIIIth semester, of Uttaranchal College of Agricultural Sciences, Uttaranchal Universit,y escorted by Principal Prof Dr JP Mishra and two members of the faculty visited Himalaya Drug Company on an educational tour.
Company President Dr S Farooq interacted with the students and said that agriculture involved cultivation, the breeding of animals, growing plants and fungi for food, fibre, biofuel, medicinal plants and other products. He said India ranked second in the world in farm produce. He elaborated that there was unlimited scope in this field for employment and livelihood.
The Principal expressed thanks to Dr Farooq for his valuable talk and guidance given to students.
