Mussoorie, 22 Dec: Former Dehradun Mayor and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ has given a major indication regarding the upcoming assembly elections. Arriving in Mussoorie, today, Sunil Uniyal Gama clearly stated that, if the party fields him from the Mussoorie Assembly constituency or any other assembly seat in the state, he will work to strengthen the BJP further by securing a victory with the support of the public and party workers.
On Monday, after attending a private event in Mussoorie, he met with BJP workers and discussed organisational matters. While interacting with reporters, he said that in 2027, the Bharatiya Janata Party government will once again be formed in Uttarakhand with a full majority.
Sunil Uniyal Gama said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the centre and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the state, the government is continuously carrying out development work. Through various welfare schemes, every section of society is being connected to the mainstream of development. This is why today the country, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is moving strongly towards becoming a developed India by 2047. He said that he will participate actively in the upcoming assembly elections. Regarding the Mussoorie Assembly constituency, he said that he has a long-standing connection with this area, and if the party gives him an opportunity here, he will register a victory with the support of the people of the area and party workers, thereby strengthening the party further.
Referring to his five-year tenure as Dehradun Mayor, he said that during that time seven assembly constituencies and approximately 100 wards came under his jurisdiction. Development work was carried out in all areas without discrimination, which also included a large part of the Mussoorie Assembly constituency. Continuous efforts were made for the development of Mussoorie, the benefits of which are being reaped by the residents of the area today.
