Tehri MLA Kishore Upadhyaya discusses major issues at Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University

Tehri, 30 Jun : Kishore UpadhyayaMLA Tehri Vidhan Sabha Constituency reached Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University Headquarters, Badshahithaul, Tehri Garhwal today on Friday. Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof NK Joshi warmly welcomed him by presenting him with a bouquet and a shawl.
Prof Joshi apprised the MLA about the progress and problems of the university. He discussed current issues with th3 MLA and told him that proposal is afoot to conduct BBA and BCA classes at the university headquarters from July 10, 2023. For the successful operation of the said classes, it is necessary to transfer the higher secondary school located in the university to another place so that the said courses and classes can be conducted in the said buildings.
Prof Joshi apprised the MLA about the correspondence related to the transfer of higher secondary school and said that in the past, a review meeting was organized on June 18, 2019, in the District Auditorium New Tehri by Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, Minister of State (Self-Charge), Higher Education, Government of Uttarakhand and Minister-in-charge of District Tehri Garhwal under the chairmanship of  Dhan Singh Negi, MLA Tehri Legislative Assembly, Dr US Rawat, former Vice Chancellor Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University Tehri Garhwal, District Magistrate Tehri Garhwal, Chief Development Officer Tehri Garhwal, Registrar Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University Tehri Garhwal, Chief Education Officer Tehri Garhwal, District Education Officer (Secondary/Basic) Tehri Garhwal.

Minister of State (Self-Charge), Government of Uttarakhand and Minister-in-Charge District Tehri Garhwal, during the review meeting, instructed to take immediate action to open the premises of Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Badshahithol, Tehri Garhwal, Chamba, situated inside the said premises, the Government Higher Secondary School Badshahithaul should be shifted to the building of Government Upper Primary School located at Saundkoti and Chief Education Officer Tehri Garhwal was nominated for action.

Taking prompt action for the resolution of the said case, the in-charge District Education Officer, TG was directed on the telephone that the transfer proceedings of Higher Secondary School, Badshahithol should be ensured by July 06, 2023, for which the Vice-Chancellor thanked the MLA.
Prof Joshi also expressed gratitude to the villagers of Saundkoti Gram Sabha for the land donated by them and said that today the university is moving towards progress and is going to conduct employment-oriented and new courses which will benefit the local people. He expressed his desire to the MLA to make a campus of the university in Jaul village of Chamba (after whom the university is named), on which MLA Tehri held a telephonic conversation with the village head and senior/dignitaries of Gram Sabha Jaul, he was informed that he is ready to donate 04 hectares of land to the University for the Chamba campus and Virendra Singh Negi senior social worker, Vinod Suyal and Ganesh Semwal assured Vice Chancellor and MLA Tehri that if the University University‘s campus is built in Jaul village, then Jaul villagers and nearby villagers are ready to donate their land to the university.
On this occasion University‘s Controller of Examinations Prof VP Srivastava, Virendra Singh Negi senior social worker, Vinod Suyal, Ganesh Semwal and media in-charge MLA Deepak Chamoli, Varun Doval and Kuldeep Singh were present.
