Dehradun, 22 Apr: The Asian School bagged the 21st Asian Challenge organised here on Saturday in the White House Court this evening. They stood entitled to the Rolling Trophy and a cash prize of Rs 15,000/-. Ann Mary School emerged the first Runners–up and won cash prize of rupees 5,000/-.
As per the tradition The Asian School never competes for the trophy therefore the rolling trophy and the cash prize were awarded to Ann Mary School and the cash prize of rupees 5,000/- and the runners up trophy were awarded to The Asian School.
The competition witnessed a participation of 20 students from 10 schools from the town.
The participants from St Joseph’s Academy, St Jude’s College, RIMC, Scholar’s Home, Ann Mary School, Summer Valley School, Shri Ram Centennial School, The Aryan School, Doon International School, and The Asian School spoke for and against the proposition: “There Is No Justification For War”.
The event was judged by Pallavi Gupta, (HOD, DCD), Neelum Sethi (HOD English, Raja Ram Mohan Roy Academy) and Jasmeet Kalra (Founder & CEO, IDKA Education Naturoganics), motivational speaker.
The results of this Inter – School Debate were as follows: Best Speaker – (For) Himangi Pant (The Asian School), Best Speaker – (Against) Priyanshi Aggarwal (The Asian School), Best Rebuttal – (For) Himangi Pant (The Asian School) & Siddhi Khurana (Shri Ram Centennial School), Best Rebuttal – (Against) Priyanshi Aggarwal (The Asian School) & Ayush Goswami (RIMC School). Best Team The Asian School.
The Principal of The Asian School and the Judges lit the lamp and gave this occasion an auspicious beginning.
Speaking on the occasion The Judges Pallavi Gupta, Neelum Sethi and Jasmeet Kalra congratulated the winners and said that the topic was quite exciting and was eloquently dealt with by the students. They spoke in high terms about the level of awareness, on the issue showcased, by the young participants.

Also present on the occasion were Gagan Jyot Juneja, Director of The Asian School, Mukesh Nangia, Head Senior School, Prachi Mehrotra Head Mistress, the entire faculty, students and guests.
The programme was jointly compered by Vasundhara Chaudhary, Naisha Dhyani And Master Divyaansh Nagra.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the Head Girl, Dishita Pandey.
