DEHRADUN, 4 Oct: The Tibetan Community felicitated the President of Graphic Era Group, Prof (Dr) Kamal Ghanshala, today, for his contribution to social and economic development of the community. The General Secretary of the Tibetan Nehru Memorial Foundation, Ugyen Jigme, expressed his gratitude to Dr Ghanshala for his contribution, on behalf of the entire community and felicitated him with the traditional Tibetan shawl. Jigme also emphasised the contribution and effort put in by Graphic Era for the uplift of the community. He acknowledged that Graphic Era Deemed (to be) University and Graphic Era Hill University had opened the door of new opportunities for the Tibetan people living in Clement Town area. It had not only reduced their migration during the winter season but also boosted employment avenues for them. Moreover, Graphic Era had, also, been instrumental in providing good professional education to them, which has open their way to joining big multinational companies. The foreign language courses offered by Graphic Era University were benefiting the students in various ways. Several prominent members of the Tibetan community and Vice Chancellor of Graphic Era Deemed (to be) University, Prof (Dr) RK Sharma were also present on the occasion.
