Trivendra Singh Rawat raises Bapu Gram land issue with Bhupender Yadav

New Delhi, 3 Feb: Haridwar MP and former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat paid a courtesy visit to Union Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav in New Delhi today, during which a detailed and meaningful discussion was held on important and sensitive land-related issues concerning the local population of the Bapu Gram area of Rishikesh. A delegation from Rishikesh was also present during the meeting and highlighted concerns linked to the rights, livelihoods and future of residents of the Bapu Gram region.
Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the issues of Bapu Gram are directly connected with the legitimate interests of the local people and expressed hope that, keeping public sentiments in mind, a practical, just and prompt resolution would be ensured. Union Minister Bhupender Yadav appreciated the seriousness and sensitivity of the matter and assured that the issues would be examined with a positive approach, adding that all possible cooperation and solutions would be extended.
Among those present on the occasion included Ramesh Juglan, Convener of the Bapu Gram Bachao Sangharsh Samiti, Sandeep Gupta, former Minister of State, Ravindra Rana, former District President of BJP Rishikesh, Jyoti Singh Sajwan, former District President of BJP Parva Doon, Rajendra Bisht, Councillor of Rishikesh Municipal Corporation, Ramkumar Kashyap, social worker and traders’ leader, and Bijendra Ramola, Councillor of Rishikesh Municipal Corporation.
