Dehradun, 23 May: Adrija Manjari Singh, grand- daughter of former Prime Minister, the late VP Singh, who is the estranged wife of Arkesh Narayan Singh Deo, of the Bolangir royals in Odisha, today, held a press conference levelling allegations against her husband.
In response, Singh Deo issued a statement on the allegations levelled by Adrija. Singh Deo claimed that he had come to know through some media persons that a press conference was hosted by his wife today. Singh Deo stated that not just his wife Adrija, but also her sister Rich Manjari Singh and her father, Ajay Singh, the son of the late VP Singh, reside in his house for ten to fifteen days every month. He alleged that his wife’s family has links with some land mafia from Saharanpur and all of them wish to encroach upon his ancestral house located in Rajpur, illegally.
Singh Deo claimed that he has full faith in the Uttarakhand Government, the state Police Department and in the courts that they will conduct a proper investigation. Time and again his wife is trying to create unethical pressure on the administration by taking the names of some big IPS officers and trying to generate news headlines, raising questions on the ongoing investigations.
Singh Deo pointed out the Police have, so far, registered only the complaints of Adrija and not those filed by him. The details would soon be provided by him at a press conference shortly.
