Dehradun, 31 Jan: Uttarakhand’s ‘Manaskhand’ tableau was awarded the first prize among the tableaux of various states on the occasion of the Republic Day Parade.
Today, Union Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt presented the award at the National Theatre Camp in New Delhi to the officers of Uttarakhand Government. Director General, Information and Public Relations Department, Bansidhar Tiwari received the award on behalf of the state. Joint Director KS Chauhan was also present on the occasion.
Expressing his happiness, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that people of the country and abroad would become familiar with the folk culture of Uttarakhand along with Manaskhand as a result of this recognition to the state’s tableau. The Chief Minister also congratulated the people of the state, the officers and employees of the Information Department and the artists who had made the tableau and all the artists involved in the tableau for being selected for the award.
