Dehradun, 10 Sep: Burans and honey from Uttarakhand were featured in the prelims of the National Barista Championship held in Delhi. Tushar Arora from Winterline Coffee Roasters, Dehradun, represented Uttarakhand brilliantly at the National Barista Championship (Delhi Prelims). He chose to use ingredients from Uttarakhand—burans from Munsiyari and honey from Champawat.
His aim is to promote and recognise young people from Uttarakhand as professional baristas (coffee chefs) worldwide.
The Coffee Board of India organised the National Barista Championship in Delhi. This is one of the most anticipated events in the coffee industry. The top 16 participants selected from all regions will now compete for the national title.
Tushar Arora of Winterline Coffee Roasters from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, participated. Tushar became the first person to promote Uttarakhand’s local ingredients, Munsiyari Buransh and Champawat honey, winning the hearts of all Delhiites. His performance was impressive.
