Dehradun, 2 Jun: The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has released the final results of the Uttarakhand Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2024, bringing an end to the long wait of two years for thousands of aspirants. Based on the main written examination, interviews, physical standards and medical tests, candidates have been selected for various key posts across departments. Nine candidates have been appointed as Deputy Collectors, with Jasmeet Kaur securing the top position. Alongside her, Varsha Joshi, Ashutosh Nautiyal, Amit Chandra Dwivedi, Meenakshi Bhatia, Faraz Miyan, Viral Sharma, Ujjwal Dalakoti and Kajal Saini have also been selected for this post.
These also include several other important positions including 10 Deputy Superintendents of Police, 5 District Commandants Home Guards, 1 Assistant Regional Transport Officer, 1 District Panchayat Raj Officer, 1 District Panchayat Works Officer, 6 District Industries Officers, 58 officers in the Education Department as Deputy Education Officers, Staff Officers and Law Officers, 1 Probation Officer in the Women Empowerment and Child Development Department, 14 Finance Officers, 16 Assistant Commissioners, State Tax, 53 State Tax Officers and 7 Assistant Municipal Commissioners.
With more than 1,200 candidates selected across departments, the appointments are expected to strengthen the administrative machinery of the state. The Commission had earlier declared the revised main examination results on 1 December 2025, followed by interviews held between 17 March and 21 April 2026, and subsequent physical and medical tests where required. The UKPSC officials claim that the final merit list has been prepared on the basis of performance in all stages and the preferences submitted by candidates. The announcement has brought joy to successful candidates and their families, while those who could not make it this time are expected to prepare for upcoming examinations. The completion of the PCS 2024 process is expected to provide Uttarakhand with a fresh cadre of officers to enhance governance and departmental efficiency.
