UREDA celebrates National Energy Conservation Day

DEHRADUN, 14 Dec: On the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day 2024, Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) organised an Energy Conservation Day event in the auditorium of SCERT, Nanurkheda here to Saturday. The event saw active participation from UREDA, SCERT, various departments and institutions, school energy friends, energy auditors working in the state’s energy corporations, students from various schools, parents, teachers, and intellectuals.
 Director of UREDA and Additional Secretary of Energy, chief guest Ranjana Rajguru released the 2024 calendar related to energy conservation on this occasion. Winning students from various energy conservation competitions were also awarded. An exhibition of e-vehicles and solar plants was organized by various firms, and leaflets containing information about easy-to-adopt energy conservation measures were distributed.
Chief Project Officer of UREDA, while presiding over the programme, appealed for the widespread publicity of energy conservation. Additional Director of SCERT Uttarakhand, who was present as a special guest, provided a detailed description of the activities and measures being taken for energy conservation. The general public was encouraged to use star-rated equipment and energy-efficient lights.
Among those present were Director of UREDA and Additional Secretary of Energy Ranjana Rajguru, Additional Director SCERT Uttarakhand Dr Mukul Kumar Sati, Chief Project Officer of UREDA Manoj Kumar, Chief Finance Officer Shashi Singh, Deputy Chief Project Officer of UREDA AK Sharma, Deputy Chief Project Officer of UREDA Sandeep Bhatt and Senior Project Officer of UREDA Vimal Kishore Bamrada besides officials of the Education department.
