Veteran Officers mark 51 years since Commissioning with Wreath-Laying Ceremony

Dehradun, 16 Jun: Ten veteran officers from the 44th NDA, 53rd Regular, and 37th Technical Course of the Indian Military Academy (IMA) gathered today at Shaurya Sthal, Chirbagh, here, to mark 51 years since their commissioning.

The officers paid tribute to their fallen comrades in a solemn wreath-laying ceremony. Lieutenant Colonel Atar Singh Bisht laid the wreath on behalf of the group.

Those present included Brig Naresh Baunthial, Brig Pradeep Siwach, Colonel Chandan Negi, Colonel Pradeep Kumar, Colonel YD Khanna, Colonel Upender Singh, Colonel DP Singh, Lieutenant Colonel SP Bhardwaj, and Major Ravi Randev. Their presence reflected the strong bonds and shared values built through their military service.

The ceremony was professionally supported by soldiers of the 8 Garhwal Rifles, who ensured the event was conducted with dignity and honour.

This gathering was a heartfelt tribute to the spirit of courage, discipline, and sacrifice that defines the Indian Armed Forces.
