Veterans of IMA’s 53 Regular & 37 Technical Courses pay Tribute at Shaurya Sthal

Dehradun, 16 Jun: Ten veteran officers, who graduated from the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun belonging to the 53 Regular and 37 Technical Courses, assembled at Shaurya Sthal War Memorial, Cheer Bagh here, today, to pay homage to their brothers in arms who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of the nation. The gathering also marked the 52nd anniversary of their commissioning as officers of the Indian Army.

The ceremony began with a wreath-laying at the Shaurya Sthal War Memorial followed by the ceremonial offering of flower petals. The dignified observance provided a moment of collective remembrance and gratitude, honouring the bravery, selflessness and dedication of the martyrs of the Indian Armed Forces.

Representing the courses, Col Arvind Singh Negi (Retd) laid the wreath on behalf of all alumni present. The event was attended by Brig NC Bhaunthial, Brig Pradeep Siwach, Col CS Negi, Col Pradeep Kumar, Col YD Khanna, Col Upender Singh, Col AS Bisht, Col DP Singh, Lt Col SP Bhardwaj and Maj Ravi Randev. Their presence reflected the strong bonds of camaraderie, professional ethos and lifelong commitment to service nurtured at their Alma Mater.

The ceremony was professionally organised and conducted by HQ Uttarakhand Sub Area and attention to protocol and reverence was maintained throughout, ensuring a solemn and respectful tribute.
