In this little poetry book, Vijay Bansal attempts to take his readers on a story telling session of his life’s journey through poetry in lyrical style- starting from his ‘janambhumi’, i.e., Lahore of pre-partition India; to the clean, green and serene Doon Valley of the ‘50s & ‘60s; to his ‘karambhumi’- Shimla and the hills of Himachal Pradesh; and back to his good, old ‘hometown’ – Dehradun; presently the capital, education-hub and Chardham pilgrimage centre of the State of Uttarakhand.

Vijay Bansal, who also looks after the maintenance and improvement of facilities/books at the heritage Mahatma Khushi Ram Public Library, Dehradun (perhaps the oldest Library in Uttarakhand) as its President of the Board of Trustees, plans to hold a series of 90 minutes “Spotlight” book sessions of ‘My Little Poetry Book”  starting from Saturday, 5 September (Teacher’s Day) up to Sunday, 4 October, (MKRP Library’s Founder’s Day), at different places, dates and timings suited to the majority of his readers; friends and well-wishers. A tentative list of venues with time, date & place will be circulated later in due course. Timings for Institutions, Clubs & Groups shall be on Saturdays, 6 – 7.30 p.m.; or Sundays, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. However, for Schools and Educational Societies, the time shall be as per their normal schedule on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. during their free class periods/lectures. The only request of the sensitive and passionate writer to  all his readers, friends and well-wishers is to buy a copy of his little poetry book and read the verses at leisure before joining any of his Spotlight Book Sessions so as to enjoy story-telling in poetry.
