Mussoorie, 11 Jun: The weather in Mussoorie took a sudden turn on Thursday morning. Dark clouds hovered over the sky from early morning, and intermittent light showers made the weather very pleasant. Amidst cool breezes and drizzles, Mussoorie’s weather has once again become a major attraction for tourists. While people in Dehradun, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and other plains regions are grappling with intense heat, Mussoorie offers a cool and delightful respite. Following the change in weather, significant crowds were seen at popular spots like Mall Road, Gun Hill, Company Garden, and Kempty Falls. Tourists were spotted enjoying the scenic beauty of Mussoorie with umbrellas and raincoats amidst the overcast skies and light rain. Many strolled along Mall Road savouring the weather, while youngsters and children were seen taking selfies and photographs amidst the drizzle.

Tourists remarked that there is no better place than Mussoorie to escape the scorching heat of the plains; the cool winds and cloud-covered hills have made their trip even more memorable. With the summer holidays and the weekend, the number of tourists in Mussoorie is steadily rising. Operators of hotels, guest houses, and homestays report an increase in tourist arrivals over the past few days, with expectations of even larger crowds in the coming days if the pleasant weather persists. Mussoorie is one of the most popular and accessible hill stations for the plains of North India, drawing large numbers of visitors from Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, and Western Uttar Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rainfall is likely in Mussoorie and surrounding high-altitude areas over the next three days. Meteorologists state that weather changes may be observed in the hilly regions due to the influence of a Western Disturbance.
