Dehradun, 10 Feb: Dr Sachin Kumar Srivastava from IIT Roorkee said today that different colours can be produced by changing the size and shape of metal’s nanoparticles.
Dr Srivastava was addressing a two-day workshop on ‘Transforming Optics’ at Graphic Era Deemed University. On the first day of the workshop, today, he said that plasmonics is used in innovative technologies such as photo thermal cancer therapy, nano antenna, sensor, solar cell and optical tweezers.
Mukesh Kumar Sharma from SR University, Telangana trained students on optical grating. He connected with the workshop through online mode.
The workshop was organised by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean, Academics, Dr Santosh S Saraf, HoD Dr Md Irfanul Hasan along with Dr Lokendra Singh, Dr Rajeev Kumar, Dr Mridul Gupta, Dr Kaushal Kumar, Dr Vinay Kumar and students were present at the workshop.
