Dehradun, 2 Sept: A Two Days (02 & 03rd September 2023) ‘National Yogasna Championship’ is being organized jointly by School of Yogic Science & Naturopathy, Shri Guru Ram Rai University and Yoga Sports Foundation. In this championship, Yoga students, Yoga trainers and Yoga exponents from 18 states of India are participating. Besides this, Yoga exponents from USA, Vietnam, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, Egypt and Czech Republic are also participating in this championship. It’s worth mentioning that Shri Guru Ram Rai University is taking ahead the Yoga movement of Prime Minister Narender Modi and Government of India. Chancellor, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Mahant Devendra Dass Maharaj showered his divine blessing on the participating Yoga Exponents, Yoga Trainers and Yoga Students for the successful organizing of this National Yogasna Championship.
On Saturday, at the auditorium of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, the Two Days National Yogasna Championship was started jointly by Chief Guest, Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s Registrar Dr Ajay Kumar Khanduri, Coordinator, Dr RP Singh, Chief Proctor Cum Spokesperson, Manoj Tiwari, Guest of Honour, President, Maharastra Sports Foundation, Prof Balwant Singh by lamp lightning. 180 participants, 40 referees, 10 members of judges committee from 18 states of India are participating in this prestigious event.
While addressing the gathering on the occasion Dr Khanduri said that the Prime Minister Narender Modi and Government of India have launched a massive campaign to preserve, enrich and propagate the ancient treatment methodologies of Yoga and Ayurveda. Under this campaign, Shri Guru Ram Rai University is contributing its part in an excellent manner. Yoga teaches discipline. Yoga is a way of leading the life in cordial relations with other and with the nature. Yoga is not limited just to asans and parnayam. The scope of Yoga is very wide, Yoga is an ego-transcending spiritual practice and mahamantra which takes the human race from negativity to positivity.
Prof Balwant Singh in his address said that Yoga is inseparable with treatment, medical education and medical science. There is a need to understand this which is a very knowledge imparting and interesting topic. This subject is related to the well-being of the entire society and whole world. If we have to propagate Yoga all over the globe then it’s a must that the practical and professional aspects of Yoga must be made strong.
The attractive Yogasnas by the students, trainers and exponents of Yoga enlightened and impressed all the audiences. The main attraction of the National Yogasna Championship was the fusion of artistic Yoga with music. Participants from Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Rajasthan, New Delhi,
Gujarat, Assam, Bihar, Maharastra, Madhaya Pradesh, etc., participated in the National Yogasna Championship.
The programme was conducted by Dean, School of Yogic Science & Naturopathy, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr Saraswati Kala, HOD & Incharge, Students Welfare Committee, Dr Kanchan Joshi, Dr Anil Thapliyal, Dr Surendra Prasad Rayal, Dr Sunil Kumar sreevas, Dr Brijendra Singh, Dr Malviak Kandpal also shared their knowledge and experiences on Yoga. The occasion was also marked by the presence of Dean, HOD, faculties and students of all the schools of Shri Guru Ram Rai University.
