Dehradun, 28 Feb: State Tourism, Religious Affairs, Culture, Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Irrigation, Public Works, and Watershed Management Minister, Satpal Maharaj, stated today that the International Yoga Festival 2025, to be held in Rishikesh from 1 to 7 March, is a significant event not only for Uttarakhand but for the entire world.
The Tourism Minister emphasised that yoga is an invaluable part of India’s ancient culture and heritage, and this festival will play a crucial role in promoting it on a global scale. Every year, thousands of yoga practitioners and experts participate in this grand event, further cementing Uttarakhand’s reputation as the World Yoga Capital.
He added that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, this year’s festival will be even more grand and impactful. Yoga enthusiasts, practitioners, and gurus from across India and around the world will gather on this sacred land, spreading the message of peace, balance, and well-being through yoga. The Uttarakhand government is fully committed to promoting tourism and yoga, ensuring that more people embrace yoga and integrate health and positivity into their lives, he emphasised.
