Yogi Adityanath to address rally in Haldwani on 13 April, Priyanka Gandhi in Ramnagar on same day

Dehradun, 9 Apr: Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath’s  tour to Uttarakhand scheduled on 11 April has been postponed by two days according to the sources in the BJP. The change has been made in view of the fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing a grand rally in Rishikesh on the same day.  Now as per the new programme, Yogi Adityanath will now address a major rally in Haldwani on 13 April in support of BJP candidate and Union Minister Ajay Bhatt. Besides this, Yogi is also likely to address two more rallies on 14 April in Srinagar and Roorkee.
At the same time, Congress will have its first major rally on 13 April when its star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi will address a rally in Ramnagar in support of Congress candidate on Nainital seat, Prakash Joshi who is considered to be close to the Gandhi family. The BJP campaign is already running full steam with Prime Minister Narendra Modi having to address one rally already in Rudrapur and many top leaders including BJP’s National President JP Nadda and Union Ministers including Gen (Retd) VK Singh having addressed rallies. BJP’s star campaigner Shahnawaz Hussain also addressed two rallies in district Nainital and US Nagar today.
 According to BJP State General Secretary Aditya Kothari, Yogi Adityanath will hold a public meeting in Haldwani on April 13. After this, on April 14, he will hold a public meeting in Srinagar Garhwal and then in Roorkee. The party is also trying to organize one of his public meetings in Almora and the other in Sahaspur.
Sources in Congress claimed that the Ramangar election rally of Priyanka Gandhi is likely to benefit the candidates of Garhwal Lok Sabha and Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar Lok Sabha seats. The Congress has started preparations for Priyanka Gandhi‘s public meeting. Senior Congress leader and former MLA Ranjit Singh Rawat said that the workers have started preparations to make the public meeting historic. Priyanka Gandhi will reach the helipad at Bailjudi in Peerumdara, after which she will address the election rally.
